On March 7, 2019 TRAXXAS informed us we were selling too much online, and will stop supplying vehicles, parts, or accessories effective immediately.
Selling TRAXXAS was the only reason we kept this store open.
We suspect TRAXXAS sees stores like Hobby Fever, that do most of their business online, as competitors. In the past three years TRAXXAS has stopped selling to mail-order giants Tower Hobbies (Hobbico) and Horizon Hobby.
In the last six months, TRAXXAS has been ramping up their online advertising, pushing customers to their site, with no mention of local dealers.
Studying the dealer list published on traxxas.com shows a trend in new dealers not being hobby shops. These new dealers are often lawn mower repair, car stereo, farm and feed, or hardware stores. Small shops that do not appear to have any online presence, or mail order capacity, and likely will not take much from traxxas.com business.
If you own a TRAXXAS model, be prepared to buy your equipment directly from TRAXXAS as more hobby shops close.
We are very sorry for the short notice, and have nothing but thanks to all our customers.
